​The Fly-In Schedule for the 2025 Yellowknife Bush Pilot Fly-In is now available!   The Northwest Territories Flying Association is excited to welcome visiting pilots and crew/passengers to this new event.  The schedule provides lots of opportunities to mix and mingle while enjoying great northern hospitality and bush flying. 

Details of specific activities are further outlined in the descriptions and flyers below.  Note that some activities require advance online sign-up or ticket purchase in addition to general Fly-In registration.

Friday, July 18, 2025 @ 1:30 pm
Visit Buffalo Airways for a guided tour of its hangar and aviation history displays. View the aircraft made famous in the “Ice Pilots” television series!  A tour of the Buffalo Airways hangar will be accompanied by a presentation on Yellowknife aviation history and viewing of an extensive collection of bush plane artifacts.  Time will be available for souvenir shopping in the Buffalo Airwear gift shop.

Friday, July 18, 2025 @ 7:00 pm
Gather dockside at Wiley’s Wharf on Back Bay in Yellowknife for a Friday evening mixer in the land of the midnight sun.  Start your visit by meeting local and visiting aviation enthusiasts.  Mingle with northern bush pilots and share wilderness aviation experiences.  

Refer to the flyer opposite for more details on this activity.  Deli-style snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.  Participation is included in Fly-In registration and is limited to Fly-In registrants, NWTFA members and invited guests.

Saturday, July 19, 2025 @ 11:00 am
Join local pilots from the Northwest Territories Flying Association for a fly-out luncheon at Plummers Great Slave Lake Lodge at Taltheilei Narrows on the East Arm of Great Slave Lake.  An exceptional gravel airstrip and nearby bay make this activity suitable for all aircraft. 

Refer to the flyer opposite for more details on this activity.  While this activity is partially subsidized by NWTFA, a charge of $25 per person applies and advance online sign-up and ticket purchase is required.  Registrants not wishing to fly their own aircraft to the remote site may be able to arrange a charter with Ahmic Air in one of its Beaver floatplanes.  Participation is limited to Fly-In registrants and current NWTFA members.​​

Gather dockside at Wiley’s Wharf on Back Bay in Yellowknife for a Saturday evening BBQ dinner in the land of the midnight sun. Trade stories of your adventures attending the inaugural Yellowknife Bush Pilot Fly-In.

​Refer to the flyer opposite for more details on this activity.  The dinner menu will include grilled steak, baked potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, caesar salad, and dessert.  Participation is included in Fly-In registration and is limited to Fly-In registrants, NWTFA members and invited guests.
