CEY7 - charlie lake (fort st john, bc)
The Charlie Lake (aka Lake View) Seaplane Base is a registered waterdrome located approximately 1 km from the south end of Charlie Lake on the west shore. The seaplane base is easily identified by its man-made U-shaped protected docking area with windsock, flagpole and lighthouse. The base is privately owned and operated by Mike Conway (cell 250-261-0691 or home 250-785-3031 or office 250-785-6829). Pilots are advised to contact the operator in advance to arrange access.
Fuel (100LL) is available at the dock. Overnight mooring and camping is permitted. Transportation to a local motel may also be available. NWTFA members report that the operator is most accommodating and that Charlie Lake is a good stop enroute from British Columbia to the Northwest Territories.
