​BEST PRACTICES FOR FLYING WITH PASSENGERS

​NWTFA recommends that pilots flying with passengers during the Covid-19 pandemic consider the following safety precautions:

• An overview of public health measures such as covering coughs/sneezes and avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth should be included in the passenger safety briefing.
• Passengers exhibiting signs of illness should not fly.
• Pilots should consider requesting proof of vaccination from passengers.
• Physical distancing should be practiced by pilots, crew and passengers while at the dock or ramp.
• Face masks should be worn by pilots , crew and and passengers while airborne or at the dock or ramp. 
• Hand sanitizer should be available on board and an adequate supply of new face masks and disinfectant wipes should be available for passengers.
• Passengers should limit contact with frequently touched surfaces such as door handles and seat backs.
• Contact surfaces such as seats, arm rests and headsets should be sanitized between passengers and between flights. 
• Names and contact information should be recorded for all passengers for contact tracing purposes.
• Public health officials should be contacted immediately for advice and direction if it is suspected or determined that a Covid-19 exposure may nave occurred on a flight.
