The Northwest Territories Flying Association (NWTFA) and Ahmic Air are excited to present the Yellowknife Bush Pilot Fly-In!  The next fly-in is tentatively scheduled for July 2027.

The Yellowknife Bush Pilot Fly-In delivers a unique fly-in experience showcasing northern hospitality and adventure.  This event offers visiting pilots, crew and passengers an environment in which to connect while enjoying magnificent flying, fine cuisine, and friendship under the midnight sun.  The activity schedule typically includes a Buffalo Airways hangar/museum tour, Friday evening mixer, fly-out luncheon at a local lodge, and Saturday evening dockside barbeque dinner.

Registration for the 2027 Fly-In will open several months before the event dates.  Due to aircraft parking, catering and other limitations, advance online registration will be mandatory.  Registrations will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis and will close once capacity has been reached.  Early registration is encouraged to assist with our planning.

The Yellowknife Bush Pilot Fly-In is suitable for aircraft on both wheels and floats.  Parking for aircraft on wheels is available at the CYZF airport.  Parking for aircraft on straight floats or amphibious floats is located on docks near the event venue.  100LL avgas is available both at the airport and on the water.

Mark your calendar now to plan for your participation in the 2027 Fly-In.  Details of the event will be posted as planning progresses but should not be expected before January 2027.  In the meantime, browse our Fly-In photo gallery for snapshots from the 2025 event and visit our Trip Planning and Exploring Yellowknife pages to plan your visit.
