The Northwest Territories Flying Association (NWTFA) and Ahmic Air are excited to invite aviators to the 2025 Yellowknife Bush Pilot Fly-In on July 18 and 19, 2025.
The Yellowknife Bush Pilot Fly-In delivers a unique fly-in experience showcasing northern hospitality and adventure. This new event offers visiting pilots, crew and passengers an environment in which to connect while enjoying magnificent flying, fine cuisine, and friendship under the midnight sun. Planning is now underway with anticipated activities including a Bouffalo Airways hangar/museum tour, Friday evening mixer, fly-out floatplane picnic to a remote lake, and Saturday evening dockside barbeque dinner. Registration is now open. Due to aircraft parking, catering and other limitations, advance online registration is mandatory. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis and will close once capacity has been reached or on June 30, 2025. This event is suitable for aircraft on both wheels and floats. Parking for aircraft on wheels or amphibious floats will be available at the CYZF airport. Parking for aircraft on straight floats will be arranged at docks near the event venue. Refueling information will be provided prior to the event. While the fly-out picnic is accessible only to aircraft on amphibious or straight floats, Ahmic Air will have a limited number of passenger seats available to purchase so that participants attending by wheel aircraft can attend the picnic in its Beavers. We recommend that accommodations and rental vehicles be reserved as soon as possible since Yellowknife is a popular tourism destination in summer months. Information on accommodation and other local amenities can be found through our Visitor Info page. |
