NWTFA will be presenting Wildlife Awareness training on May 9, 2026.  As northern pilots, many of our members enjoy time in the wilderness.  Wildlife encounters are inevitable so the knowledge necessary to stay safe is essential.  Participants will benefit from learning more about wildlife activity, animal behavior, practical strategies to reduce the risk of dangerous encounters, safe response procedures, and deterrent options.

This training will be delivered by Arctic Response Canada at its facility in Yellowknife.  Advance online registration is required by April 17, 2026.  Registration is $25 for current NWTFA members and $65 for non-members.  The cost of this training is subsidized by NWTFA through fundraising initiatives such as Unsmoke Canada remote site clean-ups.
