| Greenstockings Lake has now been added to the profiles on the Places to Fly section of our website. Several members of NWTFA made a day trip to Winter Lake and Greenstockings Lake last summer. Greenstockings Lake is situate just south of the tree line and features sub-arctic vegetation, sandy eskers and glacial erratics. Winter Lake is slightly north of the tree line and features barrenland vegetation and open sandy eskers. Both sites have long sandy beaches providing ideal floatplane parking. |  |
