NWTFA members who store their aircraft at the Yellowknife airport have probably received a notice from the GNWT Department of Transportation (DOT) to renew their licence. The notice requests that an application fee of $250 be submitted with the application for renewal. We have been advised that the application fee is not required for parking licences but that the completed application form must be returned to DOT so their information is up to date. The completed form can be returned to DOT by fax or email. We have also been advised that the annual fee will not be increased for renewals and that applicants may request a term of up to five years during which the annual fee will not be changed. Presumably, members will be billed for the annual fee and provided with a licence for execution.
