PLACES TO FLY:  ​WILDBREAD BAY - Site #1


Wildbread Bay is located on the East Arm of Great Slave Lake within the Thaidene Nene National Park Reserve.  The profiled site is situate approximately 115 nautical miles east of Yellowknife.  

​The site features a large beach comprised of small flat rocks surrounded by rocky outcrops, cliffs and dense steep forest.  Excellent fishing for lake trout and arctic grayling can be enjoyed from both the beach and the rocks at each end of the beach.

Activities within the Thaidene Nene National Park Reserve, including aircraft access and fishing, are subject to rules and regulations managed by Parks Canada.  Compliance requires advance planning to acquire permits and submit visitor registration.  For more information, refer to the Parks Canada website or follow the quick links in the adjacent box.
