PLACES TO FLY: charlton bAY
Charlton Bay is located on the East Arm of Great Slave Lake within the Thaidene Nene National Park Reserve. The profiled site is situate approximately 152 nautical miles east of Yellowknife.
This site features a large triangular spit of low-lying land extending from rocky outcrops into Charlton Bay. Narrow sandy beaches on both sides provide easy floatplane parking and excellent camping spots. The clear turquoise water and abundant sand lend a relaxing tropical vibe to a spectacular northern destination. Activities within the Thaidene Nene National Park Reserve, including aircraft access and fishing, are subject to rules and regulations managed by Parks Canada.
