The Canadian Owners and Pilots Association serves as a unified voice for general aviation in Canada. Its mission is to advance, promote and preserve the freedom to fly. Membership in COPA provides pilots with many benefits including safety seminars and access to aircraft insurance. The Northwest Territories Flying Association is proud to serve as COPA Flight 108.

The Northwest Territories Flying Association, as COPA Flight 108, participated for many years in the COPA For Kids Aviation Program sponsored by the Canadian Owner and Pilots Association (COPA). The mission of COPA For Kids was to provide a motivational aviation experience, focusing on a flight in an airplane, in an effort to interest and engage youth in general aviation.

The Midnight Sun Fly In is a biennial event hosted by the Midnight Sun Fly In Association on the shores of Great Slave Lake at the city of Yellowknife in Canada’s Northwest Territories. The 2023 Fly In was held from July 6 to 9, 2024 and was a fabulous event enjoyed by local and visiting pilots and aviation enthusiasts and by Yellowknife residents and tourists. Activities included lake-side dining, performances by local musicians, a fly-out lunch to a nearby fishing lodge, bush pilot memorial, and great conversation.
