BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the Northwest Territories Flying Association entitles members to participate in the various activities and initiatives undertaken by the organization. Annual activities include "Rust Remover" recurrent pilot training, annual general meeting and break-up barbeque, summer floatplane fly-out, and freeze-up party and chili cook-off. Ongoing initiatives include establishment of a visitor floatplane dock on Back Bay in Yellowknife, discussions with the YZF airport concerning improvements for general aviation, and collaboration with Parks Canada on continued aircraft access to Thaidene Nene National Park Reserve. Although NWFTA is a COPA flight, membership in NWTFA does not constitute membership in COPA itself.
Several of the valued sponsors of NWTFA have partnered with us to provide discounts to our members. These discounts include preferential rates for aviation fuel and aircraft covers.
Membership provides access to the "members only" sections of the NWTFA website. These sections include the membership directory, presentations from past Rust Removers, certain documents available only to members, and access to discount codes.
Membership in NWTFA is open to all individuals with an interest in general aviation. Members need not be pilots or residents of the Northwest Territories. The annual membership fee for individuals is $40 per person. Family memberships are not available. Memberships are renewable as of January 1 annually.

For new members, access to the "members only" pages of the NWTFA website will be activated after receipt of a completed membership form consenting to electronic communication and payment of membership fees. Upon activation, the member will receive an email invitation to join the website and will need to set a login password. Any member who has not activated access can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain a new invitation.
